SPECIAL REPORT: COWS LOOSE ON HIGHWAY 🐄
Traffic comes to a dead halt...

COWS LOOSE ON HWY 400

AVOID DRIVING ON HIGHWAY 400 AT ALL COSTS THIS AFTERNOON.
A mini herd of cows stampeded onto the major highway this afternoon, causing large traffic jams in both directions.
The cows jumped on the stretch of road between Aurora Road and Highway 9.
“We’ve got about six different cows running up and down the highway,” said OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt in a video posted on X.

“Heavy delays approaching the scene in both directions if you’re heading to the cottage or heading out of town or heading into town,” said Schmidt.
He added that police are working with the owners of the cows to corral them.
“They’re not too cooperative at this time,” he said.

It’s still unclear how the cows got onto the highway.
One of them charged a police officer at full speed. He barely managed to get out of the way.

I don't know that any kind of police training can prepare you for a charging cow
